Slow Pitch Jigging, light jigging, softbait and modern graphite setups can combine incredibly thin rod blanks with substantial, high-value reels. While most rods will sit perfectly well in an Ultimate Rod Rack, these specialist setups can require additional support to control movement.
That's why we developed URR RPS™ — the Rod Protection & Stabilisation System.
RPS™ is a modular range designed to better support and stabilise specialist fishing setups — helping reduce rod movement, vibration, reel slap and unnecessary wear both on the water and while travelling.
It's not just about protecting the rod. It's about protecting the complete rod and reel combination.

Adaptive Rod Protector™ — ARP-14™
Protection that stays with the rod.
The Adaptive Rod Protector™ was developed to protect and stabilise your rod wherever it goes on the boat.
Unlike a fixed insert, the ARP-14™ stays attached to the rod. Its adaptive internal fit grips the rod while maintaining an outside diameter designed for compatibility with most factory and aftermarket boat rod holders.
Move your rod from an Ultimate Rod Rack into an aluminium rod holder, rocket launcher or stainless bait-board rod holder and the ARP-14™ moves with it.
By helping control movement at the rod, the ARP-14™ can also reduce movement of the complete rod and reel combination — helping minimise reel slap, vibration, impact and unnecessary wear.
The ARP-14™ can be used with an Ultimate Rod Rack or completely independently of one.

Rod Lock Insert™
Adapt the rack to the rod.
The Rod Lock Insert™ has been developed specifically for the Ultimate Rod Racks range to provide additional support and stabilisation for individual specialist rods.
It works with the URR secured bungee retention system to help control unwanted movement higher in the rack while cushioning and supporting the rod.
Importantly, you don't need one on every position in your rack.
Most of your rods will sit perfectly in the rack exactly as they are. You may only have one or two specialist SPJ, softbait or jigging outfits that need additional support.
Simply install the Rod Lock Insert™ where you need it.
The system can be retrofitted to compatible existing Ultimate Rod Racks, and the inserts can be relocated between positions as your fishing setup changes.

Built for the Marine Environment
RPS™ components are manufactured from flexible TPU 90A, selected to provide cushioning, flexibility and durability while remaining replaceable as part of the protection system.
Under normal marine use, expected service life is approximately 2–3 years, depending on UV exposure, storage conditions and frequency of use.
When the protection component eventually wears, simply replace it — rather than allowing your rod, reel or rack to take the wear.
