Our goal was simple—to design a rod rack that looks like it belongs on the boat.
The result is the Silverback Low Rider (SLR), a mounting system developed specifically for the straight storage pockets, smaller upstands and tighter clearances commonly found across many Extreme models.
Rather than appearing as an add-on, the SLR integrates naturally into the boat's layout while maintaining maximum cockpit space and easy access to your fishing gear.
Mechanical Friction Fit™ Engineered for Extreme
The Silverback Low Rider is built around our proprietary GunnelCore™ System.
By combining the natural geometry of the storage pocket with the correctly sized GunnelCore™ backframe and premium marine-grade EVA padding, the system creates a secure Mechanical Friction Fit™.
This engineered mounting method distributes pressure evenly throughout the pocket, producing a firm, rattle-free installation without drilling or permanently modifying your boat.
The result is a rod rack that remains secure in rough conditions while still being fully removable whenever required. It can be swapped from one side of the boat to the other, transferred between compatible boats, or quickly removed and stored safely in the cabin when conditions require.
For owners wanting a factory-style appearance, an optional powder-coated backframe is available to complement the painted interiors found on many modern Extreme boats.

The Silverback Low Rider has been developed specifically for boats with straight storage pockets, smaller tray upstands and limited mounting clearance.
Its adjustable GunnelCore™ mounting platform allows the rack height to be fine-tuned, positioning rods lower within the cockpit for improved support, easier access and a lower centre of gravity.

Do I need to drill my Extreme boat?
No.
The GunnelCore™ System creates a secure Mechanical Friction Fit™ using the existing storage pockets. No drilling or permanent modification is required.
Will it fit my Extreme model?
Most models featuring compatible straight storage pockets can be accommodated. Simply provide your boat model when ordering and we'll recommend the correct configuration.
Can I move it between boats?
Yes.
The modular GunnelCore™ System allows many racks to be transferred between compatible boats using the appropriate backframe.
Can I trailer with rods installed?
Many customers do. We recommend ensuring rods are properly secured and that transport arrangements suit the road conditions and the skipper's judgement.
