The Ultimate Rod Racks Rod Protection & Stabilisation System™ (RPS™) has been purpose-built to better support, protect and stabilise your fishing gear — reducing unwanted movement, rattle, vibration and wear both on the water and while travelling.
Protection designed around your rods
From lightweight SPJ and softbait setups through to heavier tackle and game gear, RPS™ uses modular components to adapt your Ultimate Rod Rack to the rods you actually fish with.
Adaptive Rod Protector™
Designed for light to medium tackle rods with blanks approximately 8.8–14mm in diameter, the Adaptive Rod Protector™ cushions and supports the rod where it enters the rod holder.
Its flexible internal design adapts around different rod blank diameters while the outside remains a consistent size to fit most standard rod holders.
A hidden cable-tie pocket allows the Adaptive Rod Protector™ to be secured directly to the rod, so it stays with your rod as you move between your Ultimate Rod Rack and other rod holders around the boat.
The result is less movement, less contact and better protection for your rod blank.

Rod Lock™ & Rod Lock XL™
The Rod Lock™ and Rod Lock XL™ provide an additional point of support and stabilisation higher in the rack, helping control movement and keeping valuable rod and reel combinations more securely positioned.
Rather than one universal size, there are two options to better suit the different rods you carry.
Rod Lock™ is designed primarily for thinner rod blanks found on SPJ, jigging and softbait setups, where a relatively thin blank combined with the weight of the reel can create unwanted movement in a conventional rod rack.
Rod Lock XL™ provides a larger opening for rods and handles up to approximately 28mm, making it suitable for a wider range of heavier setups as well as SPJ and softbait rods with padded or larger-diameter handles.
Both Rod Locks fit into existing rod holders. For your Ultimate Rod Rack, each Rod Lock comes supplied with its own bungee and quick-fit fittings, making it easy to retrofit to your existing URR system and position exactly where you need the additional support.
There’s no need to replace your rack — simply add the Rod Locks to configure it around the rods you carry.

Designed for use around boats and fishing equipment, the replaceable components provide a softer contact point between your valuable fishing gear and the harder surfaces of your rod storage system.
If a protection component becomes worn or damaged over time, it can simply be replaced without replacing your rod rack.
